The Convent of San Marcos is one of the most important historic buildings in the city of León. It is considered one of the great treasures of the city's and the country's architecture and is located close to the Basilica of San Isidoro and the Cathedral. With its 100-metre façade, the Old Monastery of San Marcos, now converted into the National Parador de León, houses the beautiful church of San Marcos and the Museum of San Marcos.
On view inside, there are countless artistic exhibitions and decorative elements, such as flamenco paintings, tapestries, furniture recovered from the church and wooden carvings.
It is located near the bridge that crosses the Bernesga River, close to the Ciudad de León Auditorium and the León Plaza shopping centre, where you can enjoy a range of shops and restaurants.
